On Friday, December 7, Chamblee High School and Chamblee Middle School received PASCH awards ("Partner Schulen") for their progressive German language programs. The awards were given at a special ceremony attended by DeKalb County School District Superintendent Dr. Cheryl Atkinson, Consul General of Germany Christoph Sander, Chief Executive Officer of Siemens North America Dr. Helmuth Ludwig, representatives from the Georgia Department of Education and the German American Cultural Foundation, students, German teachers, and administrators from both schools.

What a great post! I am go glad that there are language programs for kids. I think learning a second language should be taught when the kids are young. This way they can have the language courses all throughout high school, and hopefully get a job because of their other language skills. Again, great post.
